Find My Friends: Request issues
If you’re not receiving location requests
Make sure your device is online (turned on and connected to a data network such as 3G, 4G, LTE, or Wi-Fi).
Make sure you’re receiving notifications (Settings > Notifications > Find Friends).
If you’re not signed in to iCloud, requests are sent to your email address.
If you’re receiving invitations via email because friends are using an email address other than the one you use with Find My Friends, link the email address to your Apple ID. Then, requests sent to that email address will appear in Find My Friends.
To associate an address with your Apple ID, go to the My Apple ID website, tap Manage your Apple ID, sign in with the Apple ID you use with Find My Friends, then add the email address.
If you can’t reply to location requests
You can’t accept new requests if you already have the maximum number of friends (100 friends and 100 “pending” requests). Remove a friend before you can accept a request from someone new.
Remove a friend first, then accept a request from someone new.
If you don’t see your friends
Make sure:
You asked to follow your friend and your request was accepted.
You transferred any friends you previously added to Find My Friends using a different Apple ID.
Your family members don’t have Share My Location turned off (in Settings > iCloud > Share My Location).
If your location requests aren’t in the correct language
If your location requests aren’t being sent in the correct language, you need to change your Apple ID language preferences.
Go to the My Apple ID website, tap Manage your Apple ID, then sign in with the Apple ID you use with Find My Friends.
Tap Language and Contact Preferences, enter your preferred language, then save your changes.
