OS X Yosemite: Share photos and videos with your family
Your family has a shared photo album called Family. You can view and download photos and videos other family members add to the album, and you can add your own photos and videos. Use any of these apps:
-
Photos on your Mac with OS X v10.10.3 or later. For more information, see Photos Help.
-
iPhoto or Aperture, if they’re installed on your Mac. For more information, see iPhoto help or Aperture Help.
-
Photos on your iOS device with iOS 7 or later. For more information, see the Photos section of the iOS 8 user guide for iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. For an iOS 7 device, download the user guide from the Apple Support manuals website for iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Before you can use the family’s shared photo album, you must join a family. The family organizer invites people to join by adding people to the family. If you don’t have a family group yet, set up Family Sharing.
