OS X Yosemite: New user or group setup
Enter information to add a new user or group.
| New Account | Choose the type of user or group you want to set up: Administrator, Standard, Managed with Parental Controls, or Sharing Only. |
| Full Name | The full name for a user or group. |
| Account name | An account name is generated automatically for users. You can change the account name now, but you can’t change it after setting up the account. The account name is used to name the user’s home folder, and it can also be used as the login name. |
| Use iCloud password | Use the same password as your iCloud account. The user logs in with this password. |
| iCloud ID | (If “Use iCloud password” is selected.) Enter your iCloud ID. |
| Use separate password | Use a password that is not connected to your iCloud account as your login password. |
| Password, Verify, and Password hint | (If “Use separate password” is selected.) In the Password and Verify fields, enter a password for the user, then enter a hint to help the user remember the password. |
| Create User or Create Group | To finish setting up a new user, click Create User. To finish setting up a new group, click Create Group. |
