OS X Yosemite: Apps included with your Mac
Your Mac comes with a lot of fun and useful apps already installed. You can open some of these apps from the Dock. To see and open all of the apps, click the Launchpad icon.
Popular apps
By default, these apps aren’t in any folders in Launchpad. For more information about Launchpad, see Use Launchpad to view and open apps.
You can also see and open these apps in the Applications folder in the Finder.

| | Maps Get directions to or from a location—including current traffic conditions—and quickly send the directions to your iOS device. |
| | Messages Stay in touch with your friends by sending messages with text, images, and other files. |
| | FaceTime Make video and audio calls to your family and friends, whether they’re using iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or a Mac. |
| | Photo Booth Take fun photos or record videos using your computer’s built-in camera or an external video camera connected to your Mac. |
| | Photos When you update to OS X v10.10.3, the all-new Photos app is installed automatically. It was engineered from the ground up for the way you take and organize photos today. |

| | iPhoto When you update to OS X v10.10.3, the all-new Photos app is installed automatically. If you previously had iPhoto on your Mac, it’s still on your Mac. All other apps
By default, these apps appear in the Other folder in Launchpad. They also appear in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder in the Finder.
