OS X Yosemite: Bridge virtual network interfaces
Bridge virtual network interfaces
Bridging virtual network interfaces allows the virtual interfaces to connect to the outside network through the physical interface, such as Ethernet or Thunderbolt, making them appear as normal hosts to the rest of the network.
-
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Network.
-
Click the Action pop-up menu
, then choose Manage Virtual Interfaces. -
Click Add
, choose New Bridge, then select the interfaces to include in the bridge, such as Ethernet or Thunderbolt. Note: Network bridging will not work when the physical network device used for bridging is a wireless device.
