OS X Yosemite: Use an Apple Magic Trackpad

Use an Apple Magic Trackpad
Adjust the way your Magic Trackpad works

The Apple Magic Trackpad supports all of the trackpad gestures available on Apple portable computers. It is larger than the trackpad on portable computers, so you have more room to perform gestures. You can perform gestures or click anywhere on the trackpad.

Before using a wireless Apple Magic Mouse, you need to pair it with your Mac. See Pair an Apple wireless keyboard, mouse, or trackpad with your Mac for more information.

Ways to use the Apple Magic Trackpad

  • Use one finger to move cursor, click, tap, drag items on your screen, and secondary click.

  • Drag two fingers up, down, or sideways to scroll in an active window.

  • Use two-finger pinching to zoom in or out on PDFs, images, photos, and more.

  • Use two-finger rotating to rotate photos, pages, and more.
