Image Capture: If Image Capture doesn’t open when you connect a device
If Image Capture doesn’t open when you connect a scanner or camera to your computer, change Image Capture preference settings.
- Open Image Capture.
- Connect your device to your computer, then turn the device on.
If the device is locked with a passcode, enter it.
- Select the device in the Devices list.
- Choose Image Capture from the “Connecting this [device] opens” pop-up menu.
Click “Show device settings” if you don’t see that pop-up menu.
