Image Capture: If your device doesn’t work with Image Capture
If your scanner, camera, or other device doesn’t work with Image Capture, you may need to install software that makes your device compatible. Or you may be able to insert your device’s memory card into your Mac.
- Make sure your device is securely connected to your computer and is turned on. If the device is locked with a passcode, enter it.
- If your device stores images on an SD card and your Mac has an SD card slot, insert the card into the slot.
- Some device manufacturers supply software that makes the camera compatible with OS X. Visit the manufacturer’s website to find out if software is available.
- Check the documentation that came with your device to see if it works with Mac computers.
