Set trackpad options

Depending on your trackpad, you’ll see only some of these configuration options.

  1. Click the Boot Camp icon in the system tray, then choose Boot Camp Control Panel.
  2. Click Trackpad.
  3. Select any of the following under One Finger:
    Option Description
    Tap to Click: If you select this option, you can tap the trackpad to click.
    Dragging: If you select this option, you can move an item by tapping it, then immediately placing your finger on the trackpad and moving your finger.
    Drag Lock: If you select this option, when you drag an item, you can release it by tapping the trackpad.
    Secondary Click: If you select this option and choose a corner from the pop-up menu, you can perform a secondary click by placing one finger on the trackpad in the chosen corner and clicking.
  4. Select the following under Two Finger:
    Option Description
    Secondary Click: If you select this option, you can perform a secondary click by placing two fingers on the trackpad, then clicking.
  5. Select the following under Palm Rejection:
    Option Description
    Ignore accidental input when typing: If you select this option, the computer ignores the trackpad while you type.
