Print a spreadsheet

You can print a Numbers spreadsheet using any printer you set up on your Mac. Open System Preferences on your Mac and click Printers & Scanners to set one up.

You can also specify a default printer, paper size, and orientation for the spreadsheet in Numbers.

Print a spreadsheet

  1. Choose File > Print, then specify print options.

By default, Numbers scales your content so that it fits the width of one page. To display content across multiple pages, click Auto Fit to turn off automatic scaling (there’s no checkmark when it’s turned off) or drag the slider to adjust the scale.

If you import a spreadsheet from Numbers ’09, Auto Fit isn’t turned on by default.

When the Show page numbers checkbox is selected, pages in the spreadsheet are numbered top to bottom, then left-to right.

  2. Click Print.

To exit Print Preview at any time, click Done to return to your sheet.

To customize how your spreadsheet looks when it’s exported to PDF, use the print settings, click Print, then click PDF.
