Change your user settings

If you are a standard user or an administrator, you can change your user settings. If your user account is managed with parental controls, you may be able to change your user settings depending on the settings in Parental Conrols preferences.

  1. Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Users & Groups.
  2. Click the Password tab to set a new password and make other changes. Click the Login Items tab if you want certain apps, folders, or documents to open automatically when you log in. For more information, see:
