Ask websites not to track you in Safari

Some third parties keep track of your browsing activities when they serve you content, which enables them to tailor what they present to you. Safari can ask sites, particularly third parties (including advertisers), not to track you.

  1. Open Safari if it is not already open.
  2. Choose Safari > Preferences, and then click Privacy.
  3. Select “Ask websites not to track me.”

When this checkbox is selected, each time Safari fetches content from a website, Safari adds a request not to track you.
