Let printer icons remain in the Dock

Each time you print, an icon for your printer appears in the Dock. Normally, the printer icon disappears when printing is finished. You can choose to let printer icons remain in the Dock.

  1. Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, and click Print & Scan.
  2. In the list at the left, double-click a printer.
  3. Control-click the printer icon in the Dock, and then choose Options > ”Keep in Dock” from the pop-up menu.

If you no longer want a printer icon to remain in the Dock, Control-click the printer icon in the Dock, and then choose Options > ”Remove from Dock.”
