OS X Mountain Lion: Clean your computer screen

If your display screen is dusty or you need to clean it for some other reason, use only water. Be careful not to use any cleaning products that may scratch or mar the display surface, especially if you are cleaning the screens of Apple portable computers and flat-panel monitors.
- Turn off the computer or display.
You may need to turn off the computer to turn off some Apple displays.
- Lightly dampen a clean, soft, lint-free cloth with water only. Do not spray liquid directly on the screen.
- Wipe the screen.
