OS X Mountain Lion: Time Machine configuration preferences
Time Machine configuration preferences determine where Time Machine stores your backups.

| List of disks Use Backup Disk |
The list shows any external disks, Time Capsules, network drives, or partitions available for use with Time Machine. Click the one you want to use, and then click Use Backup Disk. |
| Encrypt Backup Disk |
Select this checkbox to protect your backups from being accessed by unauthorized parties. |
| Set Up Other Time Capsule |
If you want to use a Time Capsule for backups, click Set Up Other Time Capsule, and then click Open AirPort Utility. Follow the instructions in AirPort Utility to set up the Time Capsule, and then return to Time Machine preferences. Your Time Capsule will be listed as an available backup destination. |
| Do Not Back Up |
To stop backing up to a disk, click its Do Not Back Up button. |
