About fast charge on Apple Watch
Learn what you need to fast charge your Apple Watch Ultra and later and Apple Watch Series 7 and later.*
*Apple Watch SE models do not support fast charging.
With fast charge, the battery level on Apple Watch Series 7, Series 8, and Series 9 can go from 0 percent to 80 percent in about 45 minutes. The battery level on Apple Watch Series 10 can go from 0 percent to 80 percent in about 30 minutes. The battery level on Apple Watch Ultra models can go from 0 percent to 80 percent in about an hour.*
Fast charging might not work in conditions that are too cold or too hot. Charging is prolonged if you keep the display on, install software updates, or transfer media when charging, or if it's the first time you fast charge Apple Watch after pairing with iPhone. If you have enabled cellular capability on your Apple Watch, keep your paired iPhone within range of your Apple Watch when charging.
Fast charging requires an Apple USB-C Magnetic Fast Charging Cable. You can identify this cable from other chargers by the USB-C connector and the aluminum around the magnetic charger. You also need one of these power adapters:
Apple 18W, 20W, 29W, 30W, 35W, 61W, 87W, or 96W USB-C Power Adapter
A comparable third-party USB-C power adapter that supports USB Power Delivery (USB-PD) of 5W or greater
If you're not sure which Apple Power Adapter you have, check the wattage on the top or bottom of the adapter:

Fast charging is supported on Apple Watch Ultra and later and Apple Watch Series 7 and later. Apple Watch SE models do not support fast charging. In countries with WPT regulation, Apple Watch is sold with a WPT-compliant charging cable when required. WPT-compliant chargers do not support fast charging.
