Add money to your Apple Account balance

Add funds to your Apple Account balance to buy apps, subscriptions, and more. In some countries and regions, you can set up Auto Reload to automatically add money on a schedule or when your balance gets low.

Before you start

Your Apple Account must have a valid payment method. Learn how to add a payment method to your Apple Account.

Apple Account balance isn’t available in all countries or regions. See if Apple Account balance is available in your country or region.

Add money to your Apple Account balance on iPhone

You can use your iPhone to add funds to your balance in the App Store or the Wallet app.

Use the App Store

  1. In the App Store, tap your photo or initials. Or, tap the My Account button and sign in to your Apple Account.

  2. Tap Add Money.

  3. Tap the amount that you want to add. Or, tap Set Up Auto Reload to automatically add to your balance.*

  4. Follow the onscreen instructions. Some payment methods might ask you to verify your purchase with a text message or other method.

Use the Wallet app

In some countries and regions, you can add money to your Apple Account balance in the Wallet app. To do this, you must:

To add money using your selected Apple Pay payment method in Wallet, your iPhone must be using iOS 18.1 or later. To add money using a non-Wallet-based payment method, use the App Store on iPhone.

  1. In the Wallet app, tap your Apple Account card.

  2. Tap Add Money.

  3. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the purchase. Some payment methods might ask you to verify your purchase with a text message or other method.

Add money to your Apple Account balance on your computer

You can use your Mac or Windows PC to add funds to your balance.

On Mac

  1. In the App Store, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar. Or, click the Sign In button and sign in to your Apple Account.

  2. On the page that appears, click Add Money.

  3. Click the amount that you want to add. Or, click Set Up Auto Reload to automatically add to your balance.*

  4. Follow the onscreen instructions. Some payment methods might ask you to verify your purchase with a text message or other method.

On Windows PC

  1. In the Apple TV or Apple Music app, click your name in the sidebar. Or, click Sign In and sign in to your Apple Account.

  2. Click View Account. You might need to sign in to your Apple Account.

  3. Scroll down and click Add Money.

  4. Click the amount that you want to add. Or, click Set Up Auto Reload to automatically add to your balance.*

  5. Follow the onscreen instructions. Some payment methods might ask you to verify your purchase with a text message or other method.

Turn off Auto Reload

If you use Auto Reload and no longer want to automatically add to your balance, turn off Auto Reload.

On iPhone

  1. In the App Store, tap your photo or initials. Or, tap the My Account button and sign in to your Apple Account.

  2. Tap Add Money.

  3. Tap Turn Off Auto Reload.

On Mac

  1. In the App Store, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar. Or, click the Sign In button and sign in to your Apple Account.

  2. On the page that appears, click Add Money.

  3. Click Turn Off Auto Reload.

On Windows PC

  1. In the Apple TV or Apple Music app, click your name in the sidebar. Or, click Sign In and sign in to your Apple Account.

  2. Click View Account. You might need to sign in to your Apple Account.

  3. Scroll down and click Add Money.

  4. Click Turn Off Auto Reload.
