Use your Digital ID in Apple Wallet
When you create your Digital ID using your passport in Apple Wallet, you can easily and securely present it at TSA checkpoints, in apps, and online.
To create and present your Digital ID, you need*:
An iPhone 11 or later, or an Apple Watch Series 6 or later, with the latest version of iOS or watchOS.
Face ID or Touch ID and Bluetooth turned on.
An Apple Account with two-factor authentication turned on.
An unexpired U.S. passport.
Your device region set to United States.
Digital ID in Apple Wallet takes advantage of the privacy and security features already built into iPhone and Apple Watch to help protect against tampering and theft. Your Digital ID data is encrypted. Apple can't see when and where you use your Digital ID, and biometric authentication using Face ID and Touch ID helps make sure that only you can view and use your Digital ID.

Digital ID is derived from your government-issued passport, but it is not a government-issued passport nor a replacement for a physical passport. A Digital ID can't be used for international travel and border crossing instead of a passport.
If you don't have a U.S. passport to create your Digital ID, you can add an eligible driver's license to Apple Wallet.
