Locate family members’ devices using the Find My app on Mac
When you join a Family Sharing group, you can help other family members locate their Mac computers, iOS and iPadOS devices, Apple Watch, and AirPods by using the Find My app.
To locate your family’s devices:
Mac computers with macOS Ventura or later must have Find My Mac turned on in iCloud settings.
Mac computers with macOS 12 or earlier must have Find My Mac turned on in the iCloud pane of Apple ID preferences.
iOS and iPadOS devices must have the Find My option turned on.
For information about locating family members’ devices using an iOS or iPadOS device, see “Locate a family member’s device” in the user guide for iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Apple Watch must have watchOS 3 or later.
Each family member can choose whether or not to share their location with other family members in Location Sharing settings in Family Sharing. If someone stops sharing, they must turn sharing back on for you to locate a device. See Stop sharing your location with others in your Family Sharing group.
