Generate an image from a text description in Pixelmator Pro on iPad
You can use generative AI to generate images from a text description, and add them to your document.*

In Pixelmator Pro on your iPad, select a layer in the Layers sidebar.
If you don’t see the Layers sidebar, tap
in the toolbar.
Tap
in the toolbar, then choose Generate Image.
Select the style (Photorealistic, Illustration, Line, and so on), view, and aspect for the image you want to create.
In the text field, enter a text description for the image you want to generate, then tap
.
An image based on your text description and selections is generated.
To edit the image, select an editing category (Details, Background, Mood, and so on), select a suggested phrase description (or enter your own in the text field), then tap
.
Tap Insert.
A new layer is created with the image, above the selected layer in the Layers sidebar.
Important: Image Generation is subject to usage limitations. To check your usage status, tap the More button, tap Intelligence Features, then tap Show Usage Status.
