pivot table fields

A field represents a column of source data used to populate a pivot table. You choose which fields to include in a pivot table in the Pivot Options tab of the Organize sidebar (shown below). For example, for the Sales pivot table, fields for Date, Power, and Product are added to the pivot table’s rows and columns, and the field for Units is used in the table’s value calculations to summarize the unit data.
