If you see a notification that an accessory isn’t compatible or if your accessory isn’t connecting.

If you connect an accessory and see an alert that the accessory isn’t compatible, or if the accessory isn’t working as expected, it may be due to the following:

  • Devices that use only Thunderbolt aren’t compatible with MacBook Neo.

  • You might not be using the right cable type for the port or accessory. Be sure to check the documentation that came with your accessory and the cable that you’re using.

  • If you’ve connected accessories to a hub or display that’s connected to your MacBook Neo, make sure you’re using the USB 3 port (the far port). If you’ve connected the hub or display to the USB 3 port and an accessory still isn’t working, you may have too many accessories connected.
