What if I don’t have a Wi-Fi connection?

Typically you can still set up your Mac without an internet connection, though there are occasionally some exceptions. After you set up your Mac, you may want to adjust or set up certain settings that you won’t be able to complete in Setup Assistant without internet—like signing in to your Apple Account.

You won’t be able to transfer data or set up your Mac from another device if you don’t have an internet connection.

If you don’t have a Wi-Fi connection, you can also try to connect your Mac to the internet using Ethernet.
