Set up a VPN connection

Browse through the options below for details about customizing your settings.

To open these settings, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Network in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)

Open Network settings for me

Option				Description
Wi-Fi				Click Wi-Fi to turn the Wi-Fi on or off, and to view or connect to Wi-Fi networks. See Use Wi-Fi settings.
VPN				Click VPN to connect to a virtual private network. See Connect your Mac to a VPN.
Firewall				Click Firewall to turn the firewall on or off, and to view or change firewall options. See Change Firewall settings.
[service name]				Network services such as Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Thunderbolt, and VPN may be available. The available services depend on the configuration of your Mac, and the network services you’ve set up. Click a network service to view or change its settings. Control-click a network service to duplicate, delete, or deactivate it, or set the order for network services.
				Use the Action pop-up menu to do any of the following: Set up a network service. Configure a VPN. Manage virtual interfaces (bridge, VLAN, or aggregate). Set the order for network services. Manage network locations.
