Make personal content requests on HomePod
Personal content requests are voice commands that use info from certain apps on your iPhone or iPad, including Messages, Reminders, Contacts, Calendar, Notes, and from other apps you’ve installed that work with Siri.
Make personal content requests
Siri: Ask Siri something like:
Messages
“Send a message to Anuj saying that I’ll bring the vacuum cleaner with me.”
“Read my unread messages.”
“Read my messages from Kim.”
Reminders
“Remind me to buy garlic.”
“Remind me to call Mom on Tuesday.”
“What’s on my shopping list?”
“Mark ‘water the plants’ as complete.”
Notes
“Add a note called ‘birthday presents.’”
“Add Twain to my ‘favorite authors’ note.”
Calendar
“What’s on my calendar for today?”
“When is my meal with Edwina?”
“What time is my first meeting tomorrow?”
“Add an appointment to my calendar on Monday at 9 a.m. called ‘marketing presentation.’”
Find your devices
You can ask HomePod to find an iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple Watch connected to the same network as HomePod. If you have Family Sharing set up, you can also find devices for your family.
Siri: Ask Siri something like:
“Where is my iPhone?”
“Ping my iPad.”
“Find Lisa’s watch.”
Keep track of family and friends
If your friends and family have shared their location with you in the Find My app on iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple Watch, you can use HomePod to locate them. For example, ask Siri something like “Where’s Will?”
To learn more about setting up location sharing in Find My, see the iPhone User Guide.
