
Send verification codes in Apple School Manager
You can send students verification codes so they can use their Managed Apple ID to sign in to iCloud (using Safari), to the iCloud preferences pane (on a Mac), or to an iPad (with Shared iPad).
Send a verification code to a user
In Apple School Manager
, sign in with an account that has privileges to reset passwords, generate verification codes, and create sign-in information. See Role privileges.
Click Accounts in the sidebar, then search for an account in the Search field. See How to search.
Select the user from the list.
Click Verification Code
.
You can download PDF and .csv files, or you can email the verification codes to the selected user.
Select your method, click Continue, then do one of the following:
If you selected .csv and PDF, click Download and choose from the following:
1-up PDF
: This option creates a single page for the user.
.csv
: This option creates a .csv file with five columns: the user’s Managed Apple ID; their first, middle, and last name; and their temporary password.
If you selected email, Apple School Manager sends the temporary password to the email address listed in the user’s account details. The user receives an email from Apple School Manager with their Managed Apple ID and temporary password.

Select the users from the list.
Click Create in the Verification Codes
row.
