Why back up?
Backups make sure you always have a copy of your important information, even if you lose your device. Backups include your photos, documents, app data, and more.
Make a backup
You can back up your device with iCloud or iTunes. iCloud stores your backup in the cloud and uses your iCloud storage. iTunes stores your backup on your computer.

iCloud
Use iCloud to back up to the cloud. Your backup is secure and available to you any time you have a Wi-Fi connection. And your device can back up overnight when you're not using it. Just be sure it's on Wi-Fi and charging.
