Spotlight

Spotlight helps you quickly find things on your computer and shows suggestions from apps, files, actions, the internet, and the Clipboard. From Spotlight, you can open or copy an item, see its location, or take action. With Siri AI (Beta)*, you can also ask Siri questions.

There are several ways to open Spotlight:

  • Press Command-Space bar on your keyboard.

  • Press the Spotlight key on your keyboard (if available in the row of function keys).

  • Click Spotlight or Siri AI (if Siri AI (Beta) is turned on) in the menu bar. If an icon isn’t shown, you can add it using Menu Bar settings.
