If Time Machine doesn’t back up certain files, you may need to make changes to the list of excluded items in Time Machine preferences.
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Time Machine, then click Options.
If a file you want to back up is in the list of excluded items, select it, then click the Remove button
.
In rare cases, Time Machine can’t back up software from companies other than Apple due to a setting made by that software. For more information, contact the manufacturer of the software.
