If you can't use Precision Finding
If you can't set up or use Precision Finding on your Apple Watch, check these requirements:
Make sure you have an AirTag (2nd generation). The original AirTag doesn’t support Precision Finding.
You need an Apple Watch Series 9 or later, or Apple Watch Ultra 2 or later, with watchOS 26.2.1 or later. Apple Watch SE models don’t support Precision Finding.
To make sure all your items appear in Find My, update your iPhone or Apple Watch to the latest iOS or watchOS. AirTag (2nd generation) requires iOS or watchOS 26.2.1 or later.
Use the Find My app on Apple Watch to locate all your items
If your AirTag is out of Bluetooth range of your Apple Watch, you can use the Find My app to locate it on a map, get directions to it, or play a sound on its built-in speaker. When you're within range, you can try using Precision Finding again.
On your Apple Watch, open the Find My app.
Tap the button in the top-left corner of the screen.
Tap Items. Every AirTag and AirTag (2nd generation) associated with your Apple Account appears on a map.
Use the Digital Crown to scroll through your items.
Tap the item's name to see options for finding it. Depending on the item and how far away it is, you can use Precision Finding, play a sound, or get directions to its location.
The Find My app is available on watchOS 27 and later. Earlier watchOS versions had three separate apps: Find Devices, Find Items, and Find People.
