
Configure a Wi-Fi setting in Apple Business Essentials
You can use the Wi-Fi settings to configure how devices connect to Wi-Fi networks—either L2TP over IPsec, or Cisco IPsec for managed devices.
- In Apple Business Essentials, sign in with a user who has the role of Administrator. 
- Select Settings  in the sidebar, then select All Settings. in the sidebar, then select All Settings.
- Select the Add button  next to Wi-Fi next to Wi-Fi . .
- Under Platform, select the operating systems you would like to configure this setting for. 
- Set any of the following: - Setting - Description - Network name - Enter the network name (SSID) of the wireless network to connect to. - Network authentication type - Choose from Pre-shared key or EAP-TTLS. - Pre-shared key - The password to join the Wi-Fi network. - Used for the Pre-shared key configuration. - Hidden Network - Specify whether the network that the device connects to is broadcasting its identity. - Auto join - Specify whether to automatically join the network without notifying users. - Send all traffic through the VPN connection - Specify whether to send all traffic through the VPN connection. - Used for the L2TP over IPsec configuration. - Proxy type - Specify automatic or manual configuration. - Proxy URL - Specify the URL of a PAC file—for example, https://www.betterbag.com/filename.pac. - Used for automatic configuration. - Proxy hostname - Specify the IP address or fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the proxy server. - Used for manual configuration. - Proxy port - Specify the port number of the proxy server. - Used for manual configuration. - EAP-TTLS settings: - Setting - Supported operating systems - Description - User name - iOS - iPadOS - tvOS - Specifies the user name for the connection to the network. - Password - tvOS - Specifies the password associated with the user name. - Inner authentication - iOS - iPadOS - macOS - tvOS - Specifies the authentication protocol to be used: - PAP

- MSCHAPv2 
- EAP 
 - RADIUS server names - iOS - iPadOS - macOS - tvOS - Specifies one or more server hostnames. Wildcard (*) subdomains are permitted. - RADIUS server certificate - iOS - iPadOS - macOS - tvOS - Specifies the certificates used to authorize connections to the network. - TLS version support - iOS - iPadOS - macOS - tvOS - Select the minimum and maximum TLS versions: - 1.0 
- 1.1 
- 1.2 
 - Hidden Network - iOS - iPadOS - macOS - tvOS - Specifies whether the network that the device connects to is broadcasting its identity. - Auto join - iOS - iPadOS - macOS - tvOS - Specifies whether to automatically join the network without notifying users. 
- Select Save.
