Restrict access to podcasts on Mac
You can restrict access to podcasts with explicit content, or prevent a child from using the Podcasts app:
When you use Screen Time and Family Sharing, you can remotely manage and monitor a child’s device from your own account on any Mac, iPhone or iPad.
If you’re not using Family Sharing, you can still set up Screen Time for a child by logging in to their Mac account.
Restrict access to podcasts
On your Mac, do one of the following:
If you’re using Family Sharing and are the family organiser: Log in as the administrator, choose Apple menu
If you’re not using Family Sharing: Log in to the child’s Mac user account, then choose Apple menu
Click Screen Time
in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)If you’re using Family Sharing, click the pop-up menu on the right and choose a child. Otherwise, skip to step 5.
If the Set Up Screen Time for Your Child button appears, click it and follow the onscreen instructions.
Click Content & Privacy, then turn on the option if it’s not already on.
Do any of the following:
Restrict podcasts with explicit content: Click Store Restrictions, then turn off Allow Explicit Music, Podcasts and News.
Turn off the app on the child’s iPhone or iPad: Click App & Feature Restrictions, then turn off Allow Podcasts in the Allowed on iOS section.
