Use Find My Friends on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch
Find My Friends and Find My iPhone have been combined into a single app — Find My — available on iOS 13, iPadOS 13 or later. Find My helps you locate your friends and Apple devices using information stored in iCloud.
If your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch has iOS 12 or earlier, use Find My Friends to see the location of your friends. Find the software version of your device.
First, set up Find My Friends by sharing your location. Then learn what you can do with the app on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

What can you do with Find My Friends on iOS 12 or earlier?
Share your location: you can share your location from your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Once you start sharing your location, you can stop and start sharing again at any time.
Locate a friend: add friends to see their location on a map. You can also get directions to a friend’s location and contact them from the Find My Friends app.
Set location notifications: manage location notifications using your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Automatically send notifications to friends when you arrive at or leave a specific location. Get notifications when your friends leave or arrive too.
Learn how. You can open Find My Friends Help on your device. Open the Find My Friends app, sign in with your Apple ID, tap Me, then tap Help. You can also see the Apple Support article Set up and use Find My Friends in iOS 12 or earlier.
You can also use Find My Friends in a web browser on your iPad. See Use Find My Friends on iCloud.com on your iPad. Find My Friends on iCloud.com is not currently supported in a web browser on an iPhone.
