Install and uninstall purchases from the App Store on Mac
There are several ways to install, uninstall and reinstall apps that you purchased with your Apple Account.
Note: In the App Store, all your purchases are tied to your Apple Account, and can’t be transferred to another account. If you make purchases on your iPhone, iPad or another Mac, always sign in to the same Apple Account so you can see all your store purchases on this Mac and download any available updates.
Install apps that you purchased on a different device
You can install any app that you purchased with your Apple Account on another device.
Go to the App Store app on your Mac.
Click your name in the bottom-left corner (or click Sign In if you’re not signed in).
Locate the purchased app you want to download, then click .
Tip: To show the speed and progress of an active download, hold the pointer over .

Automatically download apps that you purchased on a different device
Go to the App Store app on your Mac.
Choose App Store > Settings, then select “Automatically download apps purchased on other devices”.
Reinstall apps
If you uninstalled or deleted an app that you purchased with your Apple Account, you can install it again.
Go to the App Store app on your Mac.
Click your name in the bottom-left corner (or click Sign In if you’re not signed in).
Locate the purchased app you want to reinstall, then click .
Uninstall apps from Launchpad
If you want to delete an app you purchased with your Apple Account, you can uninstall it.
On your Mac, click in the Dock (or use the Control Strip) to open Launchpad.
Click and hold the icon of the app you want to delete until it begins to jiggle, then click .
Uninstall apps from the Finder
You can also uninstall apps using the Finder.
On your Mac, click in the Dock to open a Finder window.
Click Applications in the sidebar, Control-click the app icon, then choose Move to Bin.

Note: You can’t uninstall apps that are part of macOS, such as Safari and Mail.
