Smarter chemistry17

  1. Size and weight vary by manufacturing process.

  2. Sound Recognition may detect smoke and carbon monoxide alarm sounds and send you notifications when recognised. Sound Recognition should not be relied upon in circumstances where you may be harmed or injured, or in high‑risk or emergency situations. Sound Recognition requires the updated Home architecture, which is available as a separate update in the Home app. It requires all Apple devices that access the home to be using the latest software.

  3. Requires multiple HomePod or HomePod mini speakers with the latest operating system, or AirPlay‑compatible speakers with the latest version of AirPlay, and an iOS device with the latest operating system.

  4. Creating a HomePod stereo pair requires two of the same model and generation of HomePod speakers, such as two HomePod mini 2 or two HomePod (2nd generation).

  5. Home theatre surround sound requires four HomePod mini 2 or HomePod (2nd generation) speakers in matching pairs (front and rear) and paired with Apple TV 4K (4th generation) running the latest operating system software.

  6. Apple Music requires a subscription.

  7. A subscription may be required for music streaming services.

  8. Some features may not be available in all regions or languages. Some devices may not be available in all regions. Siri AI will be available later as a free software update. Siri AI requires the owner of the home in the Home app to have an Apple Intelligence–enabled iPhone or iPad running the latest software version and have Siri AI turned on and set to a supported language. Personal context requests require a paired Apple Intelligence–enabled device with Siri AI turned on and set to a supported language. Siri AI will not be initially available in the EU on iOS or iPadOS. Certain Apple Intelligence features that rely on server‑side models are subject to daily usage limits. Expanded access to such features will be available for a fee in the future. Use of these features is subject to the Apple Intelligence Terms and Conditions. Learn more at support.apple.com/en-gb/148587.

  9. Available in English (Australia, Canada, UK, US). Devices must support and run the latest operating system.

  10. Temperature and humidity sensing is optimised for indoor, domestic settings, when ambient temperatures are around 15° C to 30° C and relative humidity is around 30% to 70%. Accuracy may decrease in some situations where audio is playing for an extended period of time at high volume levels. HomePod mini requires some time to calibrate the sensors immediately after starting up before results are displayed.

  11. Wi‑Fi 6E available in countries and regions where supported.

  12. Peer-to-peer AirPlay requires a compatible Mac, iPhone or iPad with the latest operating system software.

  13. Compatible only with HomeKit- or Matter-enabled Thread accessories.

  14. Requires a U1‑equipped iPhone running the latest operating system software. Ultra Wideband availability varies by region.

  15. The 20W power adapter supplies 9V/2.22A required by HomePod mini 2.

  16. Breakdown of US retail packaging by weight. Adhesives, inks and coatings are excluded from our calculations.

  17. Apple’s Regulated Substances Specification describes Apple’s restrictions on the use of certain chemical substances in materials in Apple products, accessories, manufacturing processes, and packaging used for shipping products to Apple’s end customers. Restrictions are derived from international laws or directives, regulatory agencies, eco‑label requirements, environmental standards and Apple policies. Every Apple product is free of PVC and phthalates except for AC power leads in India, Thailand (for two‑prong AC power leads) and South Korea, where we continue to seek government approval for our PVC and phthalates replacement. Apple products comply with the European Union Directive 2011/65/EU and its amendments, including exemptions for the use of lead such as high‑temperature solder. Apple is working to phase out the use of these exempted substances for new products where technically possible.
