  • Philadelphia: Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA). Accepts payment cards in the Wallet app at SEPTA Bus and Metro readers*.14

  • Portland: add a Hop Fastpass*. Travel anywhere where this card is accepted or pay with payment cards in the Wallet app.15

  • San Francisco Bay Area: add a Clipper card*. Travel anywhere where this card is accepted.12,16

  1. To use Apple Pay, you’ll need a supported card from a participating card issuer. To check whether your card is compatible with Apple Pay, contact your card issuer. Apple Pay is not available in all markets. View Apple Pay countries and regions. Features are subject to change.   2. Only for purchase of adult full fares.

  3. To use Express Travel in Sydney and New York, you need a debit or credit card set up in the Wallet app and set as your Express Travel card on an iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone SE (2016) or later running the latest version of iOS. Or an Apple Watch Series 1 or later running the latest version of watchOS.

  4. Travel tickets and daily passes may be purchased directly in Wallet. To add a Navigo Weekly and/or Monthly travel pass to your Navigo card in Wallet, you’ll need to purchase the travel pass via the Ile-de-France Mobilités app. For a list of tickets that aren’t eligible to be purchased in Wallet, see the Ile-de-France Mobilités website.

  5. Express mode is not available on some buses as marked, and you must authenticate to validate your ticket in Wallet on those buses.

  6. To add a Navigo card to Wallet, you’ll need an iPhone XS or SE 2 or later with iOS 17.5 or later. Or an Apple Watch Series 6 or SE 2 or later with watchOS 10.5 or later.

  7. PRESTO cards in Apple Wallet are not accepted on OC Transpo in Ottawa.

  8. To add a PRESTO card to Wallet, you need an iPhone SE (2nd Gen) or iPhone 8 or later with iOS 16.4 or later, or an Apple Watch Series 4 or later with watchOS 9.4 or later. Payment cards can only be used for adult full fares. Credit cards and internationally issued Visa and Mastercard debit cards can be used with Express Travel in Wallet. Interac debit cards can be used by double-clicking on the side button on the device.

  9. Not accepted on commuter rail, commuter ferry, regional public transport authorities, paratransit, parking and non-MBTA affiliate mobility services. In order to receive a reduced fare benefit, you must enrol your payment card in your reduced fare programme. Visit mbta.com for more information.

  10. Ventra travel cards in Wallet are not accepted on Pace paratransit or Metra.

  11. To add a Ventra travel card to Wallet, you’ll need the Ventra app downloaded on an iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone SE (2016) or later running the latest version of iOS. Or an Apple Watch Series 1 or later running the latest version of watchOS.

  12. To add a TAP, Clipper or SmarTrip travel card to Wallet, you’ll need an iPhone 8 or later with the latest version of iOS. Or an Apple Watch Series 3 or later with the latest version of watchOS.

  13. Not accepted on AirTrain JFK, Access-A-Ride or for onboard fare payment on LIRR or Metro-North.

  14. Payment cards can only be used for purchase of adult full fares on SEPTA Bus and Metro but not on regional rail.

  15. Only for purchase of adult full fares. To add a Hop card to Wallet, you’ll need the Hop Fastpass app downloaded on an iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone SE (2016) or later running the latest version of iOS. Or an Apple Watch Series 1 or later running the latest version of watchOS.

  16. In order to use Clipper with Apple Pay on SFMTA cable cars, and other public transport services using handheld card readers, all customers must authenticate with Face ID or Touch ID.

  17. SmarTrip travel cards in Wallet are not accepted on MARC, VRE or MTA vehicles.
