Turn Attention Aware features on or off on your iPhone or iPad Pro
Find out about Attention Aware features on your iPhone X or later, or iPad Pro 11-inch, iPad Pro 12.9-inch or iPad Pro 13-inch.
What are Attention Aware features?
With Attention Aware features, iPhone and iPad models with Face ID can check whether you’re paying attention to your device and automatically take action. This works, using the TrueDepth camera,* even if you don't enrol in Face ID and can include features like:
When you’re looking at your device, your display won't dim until you stop looking at your device.
When you're looking at your device, it will lower the volume of your alerts.
If you don’t want to use these features, open the Settings app, tap Face ID & Passcode and turn off Attention Aware Features.
* The TrueDepth camera is available on iPhone X or later except for iPhone SE, and on iPad Pro 11-inch, iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd to the 6th generations) and iPad Pro 13-inch.
