macOS Ventura 13.2

• The profiles renew command can now succeed for an enrolment profile when CheckInURL is changed.

• Resolves an issue where macOS Recovery would become unresponsive after selecting a language.

• Resolves an issue where System Settings would prompt to update Apple ID settings when no Apple ID is signed in.

• Webloc files now open automatically in the default web browser.

macOS Ventura 13.1

• Supervised Mac computers running macOS Monterey 12.3 or later can upgrade to macOS Ventura 13.1 without the need to run a full installer app or authenticate as an administrator.

• macOS now supports the ACME certificate MDM payload.

• Network Location settings can be accessed from System Settings.

• MDM can now specify domains where cross-site tracking is allowed in Safari.

• Includes improvements for managing and displaying Login Items in System Settings.

• Includes reliability improvements when using DHCPv6.

• Resolves an issue in which the network intermittently became unresponsive in dense Wi-Fi environments.

• Resolves an issue in which printers were removed after a software update.

• Resolves an issue in which Rosetta 2 was removed after a software update.

macOS Ventura 13.0

macOS Ventura includes new features such as Declarative Device Management support, mandatory internet access in Setup Assistant and Platform SSO.

Device Management

• macOS now supports Declarative Device Management for all enrolment types.

• Mac computers registered to an organisation must connect to a network during Setup Assistant after being erased or reset.

• With Platform SSO, identity providers can build SSO extensions that extend to the macOS login window.

• Migration Assistant on a Mac enrolled in MDM automatically disables the transfer of System & Network settings to avoid management conflicts.

• Mac computers can respond to software update commands while asleep or in Power Nap mode.

• MDM can manage the ability to disable Login and Background Items through System Settings and reduce notifications.

• MDM settings are available to restrict Bluetooth modification, manual profile installation, Universal Control and Accessory Security.

• The SystemPreferences payload is deprecated, but existing keys and the new DisabledSystemSettings key will continue to disable corresponding panes in System Settings for macOS Ventura. A future version of macOS won't support this payload.

Bug fixes and other improvements

• Improves reliability for InstallLater software update notifications and scheduling.

• Resolves an issue where the Wi-Fi menu was not available on the activation screen after Erase All Contents and Settings.

• Resolves an issue where a software update was initiated but did not download.

• Resolves an issue where softwareupdate could not be run by launchd.

• Resolves an issue where softwareupdate --install resulted in an unexpected restart.

• Resolves an issue where PPPC payloads for Accessibility and AppleEvents did not suppress user approval prompts.
