Define image settings
Configure image settings, such as network disk name, image description, and image index number.
In the Network Disk field, enter a name for your image.
This name identifies the image in the Startup Disk preferences pane.
In the Description field, enter notes or other information to help you characterize the image.
The description information doesn’t appear on the client Mac but rather on the NetInstall server.
Select how you want to assign an image number.
You can assign a random number, which generates a value from 1–4096, or you can manually assign a number. If you choose to have the image served from multiple NetInstall servers, the number generated will be from 4097–65535.
With NetRestore images, you can also remove the macOS Recovery partition. With the NetRestore image from a macOS install app workflow and NetBoot images, you can also set the volume name.
