View stocks in Notification Center on Mac
For a quick look at the stock market, check the Stocks widget in Notification Center.
Notification Center uses the same watchlist the Stocks app uses. Any changes you make to the watchlist in one is also reflected in the other. For example, if you add a ticker symbol to the watchlist in Notification Center, the ticker symbol is also displayed in the Stocks app watchlist.
View stocks in Notification Center on your Mac
On your Mac, click the Notification Center icon
in the menu bar.Click Today, then scroll down to the Stocks widget.
Add ticker symbols to your watchlist in Notification Center
On your Mac, click the Notification Center icon
in the menu bar.Click Today, scroll down to the Stocks widget, then click the Info button
(at the top right of the widget).If you don’t see the Info button, move the pointer over the Stocks widget.
Click the Add button
.Type a company name or ticker symbol in the search box.
Find the company in the search results list, then click the ticker symbol to add it to your watchlist.
When you finish adding ticker symbols, click Done to return to your watchlist.
Remove ticker symbols from your watchlist in Notification Center
On your Mac, click the Notification Center icon
in the menu bar.Click Today, scroll down to the Stocks widget, then click the Info button
(at the top right of the widget).Click the Remove button
to the left of the ticker symbol you want to remove.If you don’t see the Info button, move the pointer over the Stocks widget.
When you finish removing ticker symbols, click Done to return to your watchlist.
Reorder ticker symbols in the Notification Center watchlist
On your Mac, click the Notification Center icon
in the menu bar.Click Today, scroll down to the Stocks widget, then click the Info button
(at the top right of the widget).If you don’t see the Info button, move the pointer over the Stocks widget.
Drag ticker symbols up or down into the order you prefer.
When you finish reordering ticker symbols, click Done to return to your watchlist.
