Intro to editing in Final Cut Pro for iPad
After you create a project, you can start editing clips together in the timeline.
You can:
Make selections and add clips to the timeline: Add clips to the timeline, then arrange them however you like. You can also edit audio.
Cut and trim clips: Use a variety of techniques to adjust the start and end points of clips in the timeline and to control pacing from one shot to the next. You can extend or shorten clips in the timeline, cut clips in two, and make roll edits to fine-tune where one clip changes to the next.
Use powerful tools for precise navigation and positioning: Use the jog wheel for extra precision when you’re navigating through clips and positioning items in the timeline. You can also zoom in and out of the timeline, snap to items, and use Position mode to move clips without affecting the placement of other items.
Apply speed effects: Change the speed of a clip to create fast-motion or slow-motion effects. You can also reverse a clip so that it plays backward, or freeze a single video frame to temporarily stop the action onscreen.
Edit multicam clips and Cinematic mode video: Intro to multicam editing in Final Cut Pro for iPad or other synced footage in real time, and change the focus in video clips recorded in Cinematic mode on iPhone.
After you complete the initial edit of your video, you can move on to finishing touches such as adding transitions and effects and making color adjustments.
