Download and perform a Repair install of the Boot Camp Software to correct this condition.
- Locate the Boot Camp Assistant in the folder /Applications/Utilities.
- Double-click the Boot Camp Assistant to start it.
- A Download Windows Support Software screen will appear. Enable the Download the Windows support software for Mac radio button.

- Use your computer's administrator password to allow your computer to temporarily store the software.
- A progress bar will appear. After the download is complete, a Save Windows support software screen appears. Choose either to Burn a copy to CD or to store a copy on an external USB device.

- When the transfer of the Boot Camp Software to a disc or USB storage device has completed, the Boot Camp Assistant will display a partitioning window. Because your Boot Camp partition already exists, you do not need to partition the hard drive again. From the Boot Camp Assistant menu, choose Quit to exit the Boot Camp Assistant.
- Choose the Windows partition in Startup Disk System Preferences.
- Restart the computer, then insert the CD or attach the USB storage device.
- When the Auto Play dialog box appears, click Run setup.exe.
- Click the Boot Camp Drivers icon.
- A User Account Control dialog appears. Click Yes.
- When the Boot Camp services dialog appears, click Repair.

- An "Installing Boot Camp" dialog appears with a progress bar. The repair process will take a few minutes. Your screen may flash during the repair process. Do not interrupt the installation.
- When the "Boot Camp Installer completed" dialog appears, click Finish.
- Restart your computer; the changes take effect when the computer restarts.
The JIS keyboard layout should now appear instead of the English keyboard layout.
