In some cases, your iPod nano may simply need to be reset. Follow the steps below to reset your iPod nano:

  1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again).
  2. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously for about 6 to 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears. You may need to repeat this step.

If resetting iPod nano does not resolve the issue, it may require service. Please schedule a service appointment with an Apple Retail Store, an Apple Authorized Service Provider, or the iPod Service Website.
