- To reinstall this update over a later version, you should back up important data and erase your Mac OS X volume, or Archive and Install Mac OS X 10.2, reinstall any prerequisite updates, and then this update. You may wish to back up the entire contents of your Home directory, which is the folder bearing your name in the Users folder.
- This update includes and replaces the Mac OS X 10.2.1, 10.2.2, 10.2.3, 10.2.4, 10.2.5, and 10.2.6 Updates; and Security Updates 2003-06-09, 2003-06-12, 2003-07-14, 2003-07-23, and 2003-08-14.
- This update is only available using the Software Update preference pane.
- This update appears only for computers that require it.
- Security Updates for Mac OS X 10.2 do not change the Mac OS X build version. For more information about build versions, see "Mac OS X: About This Mac "Build" Information".
To determine that a certain Security Update is installed, look for its package (.pkg) file in /Library/Receipts . - This update does not work with Power Mac G5 computers.
