iSync 1.5: About compatible devices

Want to sync your devices with your Mac? If you're using iSync 1.5, the devices and services in this article will work with it.

For newer versions of iSync, see iSync: Supported mobile phones in Mac OS X 10.4, 10.5, and 10.6.

To find your version of iSync:

  1. Open iSync.
  2. Choose iSync > About iSync.
  3. The version of iSync is displayed in the About iSync window.

iSync 1.5 requires Mac OS X 10.2.8 through 10.3.x (Mac OS X 10.3.5 or later is recommended for Symbian OS and Motorola phones).

Important: The information and links in this document are current as of April 2005 (2005-04). Later versions of iSync may work with different devices. Devices which are not on this list may or may not work, and are not supported with iSync 1.5. Using an unqualified device may have unexpected results.

Tips and notes

  1. Syncing To Do items requires an iPod with iPod Software 2.0 or later.
  2. To sync your Palm device, you must have Palm Desktop 4.0 or later installed first, and then install iSync Palm Conduit 1.2. In general, if your Palm OS device syncs to Palm Desktop on your Mac with HotSync, it will work with iSync.
  3. Not all phones work in all geographies. Check with your carrier before ordering a phone.
  4. Mac OS X 10.3.5 or later is recommended for Symbian OS and Motorola phones.
  5. Motorola phones require a USB cable. Bluetooth is not supported.
