If Final Cut Pro for iPad isn't working

Try these steps in order
After trying each step in this list, test Final Cut Pro for iPad again to see if you've fixed your issue.
Restart your iPad
To restart your iPad, turn it off, then turn it back on.
Disconnect external devices
If an external device like a camera or storage device is connected to your iPad, disconnect it:
Disconnect all external devices.
If the issue only occurs when a particular external device is connected, you might need to update or service the device. Contact the manufacturer for support.
Check system requirements
Make sure your iPad and version of iPadOS meet the Final Cut Pro for iPad system requirements.
Make sure the app is working as expected
To make sure the app is performing as you expect, check the Final Cut Pro for iPad User Guide. You can search the User Guide for key terms shown in alerts, alert icons, or error messages.
Update Final Cut Pro for iPad
Try to complete all active projects.
If you haven't already, back up your projects and media.
Check device compatibility
Check that you're using a supported camera. Contact the manufacturer of the device for support. If a software update for the device is available, follow the manufacturer's instructions to update firmware for devices like cameras and external storage devices.
Check media compatibility
Check that you're using a supported media format.
Test with the demo project
Download a new copy of the demo project included with Final Cut Pro for iPad. Then try to recreate the issue you were having using the demo project and the included media.
Remove and reinstall Final Cut Pro for iPad
When you delete the Final Cut Pro for iPad app from your iPad, all related data — including projects, timelines, and imported media — are also deleted. Back up your projects before deleting the app from your iPad.
Test with the demo project to see if the issue is resolved. If the issue no longer occurs, reimport your backed-up projects.
