If a payment card that you use with Apple Pay is declined

If a payment card that you use with Apple Pay is declined or doesn't work when you try to make a purchase, check to see if your card can be used with Apple Pay.

  1. On your device, go to the Wallet app or Wallet & Apple Pay settings:

    • On your iPhone, open the Wallet app.

    • On your iPad or Apple Vision Pro, go to Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay.

    • On your Mac with Touch ID, choose Apple menu  > System Settings (or System Preferences), then click Wallet & Apple Pay.

  2. Select your payment card.

  3. If you see the message "This card cannot be used," check if your bank or card issuer currently supports Apple Pay:
