To download the Apple Music app, you need an Android phone or tablet with Android 5.0 Lollipop or later, or a Chromebook that supports Android apps.

Subscribe to Apple Music

If you already subscribe, just sign in with your Apple ID

  1. Open the Apple Music app.
  2. If you see a trial offer, tap Sign In in the upper-right corner. Or tap the More button the More button, then tap Sign In.
  3. Enter the same Apple ID and password that you use with Apple Music.

Share an Apple Music family subscription

On your Android device, you can use Family Sharing to share and manage an Apple Music family subscription with a family group. Or you can join someone else's family group to share their subscription.

Stream music from Apple Music to your Chromecast device

  1. Make sure that your Android device and Chromecast device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  2. Open the Apple Music app.
  3. At the top of your screen, tap the Cast button .
  4. Tap your Chromecast device.
  5. Play music.

Not all content types in Apple Music support Casting, and not all Chromecast devices are supported.


Use Apple Music with Android Auto

With Android Auto, you can listen to Apple Music in your car and control what's playing from your car's display panel.

  1. On your Android device, download Android Auto from Google Play.
  2. Connect your Android device to your car.
  3. From your car's display panel, open Android Auto.
  4. In Android Auto, open the Apple Music app and play music.
