If you try to create multiple Apple IDs with the same email address

The email address used to create each Apple ID must be unique. You can't use the same email address to create multiple accounts.

Avoid using multiple Apple IDs

You only need one Apple ID to access all Apple services. Before you create a new Apple ID, consider whether it might be better to continue using one you already have.

You can't move purchases from an old Apple ID to a new one, and you might not be able to move your information. To keep all of your content, you can change the primary email address for your Apple ID instead of creating a new one.

Try these options for your business or school

If you're a system administrator at a school or business, use one of these solutions instead of creating several Apple IDs using the same email address:

You can't create a new Apple ID that adds only a "+" character or a "." character to an existing Apple ID. For example, if example@domain.com is an Apple ID, you can't use example+1@domain.com or ex.ample@domain.com to create a new Apple ID.
