When you share your project to DVD in Final Cut Pro X, the first DVD should burn without any issues. If you try to burn more copies, the share process might stop responding when it's only 66% complete.
Here's another way to burn additional copies of your project:
- Restart your Mac.
- Open your project in Final Cut Pro X.
- Click on the the File menu in the top left corner, then choose Share > DVD.
- Click on the Settings tab, then choose Hard Drive as the output device. Click Next.
- Select the hard drive location where you want to save your project and click Save. This creates a disc image of your project that you can use to burn more copies.
- Find the disc image file (.img) on your hard drive.
- Control-click the disc image file.
- In the menu that pops up, click "Burn Disc Image [disc name] to Disc" and follow the instructions.
